Zarabad Blood Shedding Plane Tree
The shrine of Imamzadeh Ali Asghar (son of Imam Mousa Kazem(AS)) is in this village, which every year hundreds of Imam lovers from far and near places come to this place on the month of Moharram for mourning for their sacred Imam Hussein.
Near Imamzadeh (a holy shrine of children of Imams (AS), there is an old plane tree of which on the morning of Ashura (the day Imam Hussein was martyred) blood starts to shed from the tree.
The late Allameh Seyed Mousa Zarabadi has written about this event in his book 'Keramat', "During the ruling of Soltan Hossein Safavi, the king of Safavi sent some scholars such as Mirza Qavameddin Mohammad Qazvini to find out about the tree and see whether blood shedding is true. Mirza Qavameddin wrote a book about what he had seen and named the tree 'Blood Shedding Plane Tree' and sent it to the king.
After Mirza Qavameddin, some other scholars such as Fazel Darbandi in his book entitled 'Asrar-e Shahadat' (secrets of martyrdom) had also written about their trips to Zarabad and visiting the tree.
Imamzadeh Ali Asghar receives many people in the year especially during Ashura. People mourn the events of Ashura and ask their Imams for help and forgiveness.
